“Don’t be a loon!” I’m sure my mom said that to me a time or two. I remember back in the 90’s my mother had a Common Loon soundtrack. She enjoyed playing it throughout the house once in a while.
“Loonell” sits proudly in my parents home as a 20”x16” piece. A gift for Mother’s Day.
It wasn’t for many years later I found out locals would call them “Canadian Wolf Birds.”
“Ember Water” 2026 - came as a fall/winter inspiration. I had never mixed butter golds into ember and deep reds before.
